Conclusion: We All Want to Feel Good
When you feel bad, do you know exactly what you need to do to feel better? Or could you use some help in figuring that out?
Emotions are an amazing internal guidance system. Skillfully working with them as a source of wisdom will give you the power to heal yourself. From foes to friends, this course will forever change your relationship to difficult feelings.
Learn how to find immediate relief from everyday upsets. This course is about taking back control of the emotions and situations that control you; to use strong emotions as medicine rather than poison. It is a fully supported, hands-on journey to better mental and emotional wellness.
You will recognize how painful experiences have separated you from your best self and that you have the inborn ability to learn and grow stronger from those challenges. You will re-acquire the ability to use emotions that arise when you are upset to heal the past, prevent further harm, and bring peace.
Imagine that whenever you feel bad, you could always know why and, more importantly, what you need to do to feel better. You’d never be stuck in anxiety, depression, or dysfunction. You would handle any new crisis and recover from upsets quickly.
I have spent the last forty years studying, practicing and teaching self-awareness using meditative practices combined with modern psychology. The prevailing view of emotions by meditative practices has been that they are a weakness and personal failing and a medical disorder to be treated and cured by modern psychology; in both instances, emotions are seen as something to overcome. In my personal life and professional experience as a yoga therapist, neither approach works. You will find, as I have, the precious value of your feelings.
