Better Outcomes for Anxiety
The Problem:
When we experience uncertainty, feel that things are out of control, think and imagine worst-case scenarios, are fatigued or restless, become tense and irritable…We may get caught in constant negative thoughts of all that may go wrong. This is called worry. It doesn’t help. Rather, it increases our anxiety.
Better Outcomes:
We can learn to control runaway thoughts. But simply trying to stop them (repression) can increase worrying thoughts. Research shows us that honestly facing our fears is the way to relieve them. I have found mindfulness and meditation practices, with a little professional guidance to get safely started exploring our fears, lead to identifying the sources of, solutions to, and relief from anxiety.
My Suggestion:
Every year, I mentor a small group of people through a transformative process using these methods in the Emotional Liberation Course. In it, you will spend a month getting comfortable (yes, comfortable!) with the many forms of fear. You will use and practice reliable methods to see where they come from and find solutions to resolving them whenever fears arise.
